Oriental Garden
This project perfectly reflects our ability to create exceptional value even in small spaces. The client’s task was to evoke the atmosphere of a Japanese garden, adapting it to the architecture of the existing buildings and the site’s distinctive terrain. The area is 5 ares (about 500 m²), yet we managed to include everything needed to create the impression of a Japanese garden.
The design includes a flowing stream, three water features, a “cloud” terrace, a “dragon’s back” mound, a meditation rock garden with a terrace, an additional terrace with a small outdoor kitchen, a tea house, and a dog enclosure. The number of elements required particular attention to detail and to maintaining proper proportions. All solutions had to be adapted to the existing topography.
Stone compositions convey an Eastern spirit, while carefully selected plants—boxwood, junipers, barberries, yews, and black pines—create the garden’s harmony. The water springs and ponds not only deepen this impression but also visually expand the small yard. The sound of trickling water drowns out the city noise, allowing a sense of calm to settle in the garden.
This project is a space where every element contributes to an atmosphere of peace and harmony, giving family and guests the chance to escape everyday bustle and immerse themselves in the spirit of a Japanese garden.
