A Courtyard of Subtle Luxury

The task of this landscape project was to create a courtyard environment that reflects the mood and aesthetics of the interior. Luxury here is expressed through materiality and decorative elements, consistently integrated throughout the entire outdoor space. By the sauna, a terrace of stone slabs is formed, with a hot tub and a passive relaxation area with sun loungers planned within it. A small planting inset in the terrace surface, featuring a Japanese maple, brings warmth and life, softening the strictness of the stone. Next to the terrace, a water spring is integrated—an accent decorative element that subtly enriches the overall courtyard view. In the inner courtyard space, an exceptional tree is also introduced: a honey locust, whose airy, lacy canopy creates a sense of lightness, while in winter its visually interesting branch structure is revealed. Near three beautifully established pines, a fire-pit area is planned, organically blending into the existing surroundings. Decorative elements echo the materiality of the water feature, reinforcing the courtyard’s overall style. Subtle luxury outdoors is revealed not through abundance, but through materiality, distinctive decorative details, and a consistently crafted courtyard aesthetic.
