Private Terrace

The main objective of this landscape project was to create privacy on the terrace while maintaining a clear and convenient site layout. The entire plot is divided into three areas: a front/representative zone, the terrace, and the garden area. Planting masses are used to separate these functional spaces. A stepping-stone path leads from the front zone to the terrace. Thyme growing between the stones and blending into the planted areas adds a sense of lightness and naturalness to the space. In the front/representative zone, the selected plants do not overpower the house façade—they highlight the architecture and help soften its forms. On the terrace, plants create a private relaxation oasis, screened off from the surroundings. The pergolas here are multifunctional—they are adapted for various children’s activities, and can also be used to hang lounge chairs, hammocks, or swings. In this project, the terrace becomes the main hub from which all other areas are easily reached, while also being a cozy, safe gathering place for the whole family.
